Services
David F. Fanning Numismatic Literature regularly publishes fixed price lists throughout the year, and will hold two auctions (the next closing December 3) in 2009, offering a variety of material of interest to those forming a numismatic library. We work with clients to develop their libraries and, for collectors wishing to sell material, we accept selected consignments for inclusion in our catalogues. Our consignment terms are reasonable, and we put considerable effort into the cataloguing of our fixed price lists and auction catalogues. Our catalogues are carefully compiled and professionally designed and printed, with much attention to detail. Please feel free to contact us if you are thinking of selling.
About Us
David Fanning has been buying and selling numismatic literature since he was in high school in the 1980s. David F. Fanning Numismatic Literature issued its first Fixed Price List in December 2003, and has since published a number of fixed price lists offering rare and out of print numismatic literature for sale. We conducted our first mail-bid auction in 2008, and are now holding two auctions a year. We strive to provide works on numismatics that are difficult to obtain, and work with collectors and researchers to locate items they need. In addition, we offer a selection of more recent publications and standard references. Our catalogues have gained a following for their detailed historical descriptions, and it has been our pleasure to offer a number of important works. We look forward to developing a relationship with our clients as they build their libraries.
David Fanning is a member of a number of numismatic organizations, including the American Numismatic Association (ANA), American Numismatic Society (ANS), Numismatic Bibliomania Society (NBS), Early American Coppers (EAC), Colonial Coins Collectors Club (C4), Society of Paper Money Collectors (SPMC), Medal Collectors of America (MCA), Royal Canadian Numismatic Association (RCNA), Civil War Token Society (CWTS) and Central States Numismatic Society (CSNS). A member of the Numismatic Literary Guild (NLG), Fanning has been honored with literary awards by that organization as well as by the ANA and NBS. He has published articles on various aspects of numismatics and numismatic literature in a number of publications.
